Light a Candle and Sing " This little light of Mine"

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine!

Focus Sacrament: Baptism

A long time ago, when God made the very first people, Adam and Eve, they were meant to live close to Him and never be apart. But they made a choice to disobey God, and that choice brought something called original sin into the world — like a shadow that stays with every person born after them. We’re not guilty for what they did, but that shadow still keeps us from being as close to God as we could be. Baptism is like a beautiful story of God’s love, where He gives us a way to wash that shadow away. Imagine a baby being wrapped in a warm, bright light — when the priest pours holy water over their head and says, “I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” that light chases away original sin. In that moment, the child becomes part of God’s family, clean and new, with a special mark on their soul that says, “You belong to God.” It’s the very first step of a lifelong friendship with Jesus, and a promise that He will walk with them always.

BIBLE Song

The B-I-B-L-E,
Yes, that’s the book for me,
I stand alone on the Word of God,
The B-I-B-L-E.
The B-I-B-L-E,
Yes, that’s the book for me,
I stand alone,
The B-I-B-L-E.

The Story of the Persistent Widow

One day, Jesus gathered His friends and told them a story to help them remember something very important: never stop praying and never give up.

“There was once a judge,” Jesus began. “He lived in a big city and made decisions about right and wrong. But this judge wasn’t a very nice man. He didn’t love God, and he didn’t care about people.”

In that same city lived a widow — a woman whose husband had died. Life was hard for her, and someone had treated her very unfairly. She needed help, so she went to the judge.

‘Please, Judge,’ she said kindly, ‘give me justice! Help me make things right.’

But the judge didn’t care. He waved her away and refused to listen.

Did the widow give up? No! Every day she came back and asked again and again:

‘Please, Judge, help me! Give me justice!’

Finally, the judge sighed. “I don’t care about God or people,” he grumbled, “but this woman is wearing me out! She keeps coming back, and she won’t stop asking. I’ll give her what she wants — just so she’ll leave me alone!”

Jesus smiled at His friends. “Did you hear what the judge said? Even though he was unfair, he still helped the widow because she kept asking. Imagine how much more God — who loves you very much — will help His children when they pray to Him day and night!”

Then Jesus asked, “When I return, will I find people who still have faith and keep on praying?”
